Was very privileged to watch last evening at INOX the premier of the Konkani movie “Home Sweet Home”. The 133 minute enthralling movie is based on a factual account of how land in Goa is being grabbed by the non-Goan land sharks mafia in blatant connivance and collusion with those in power.
The inimitable John D’Silva and Rajdeep Naik deserve to be lauded for their exceptional lead roles played and so also the other members of the cast whose performance was just outstanding. Swapnil Shetkar and Madhav Gad deserve to be patted for producing such an entertaining movie highlighting an issue which should be of grave concern to every Goan. The movie should act as an eye opener and wake up call that Goa is slipping if not already slipped away from our hands while politicians have only kept us entertained with all that rhetoric on Special Status for Goa.
