The Goanetter's meet at Xavier's Historical Research Centre, Porvorim, today,
29/12/14 at 11 a.m. was a memorable event with the release of 'BLOODLINE
BANDRA' a novel by Godfrey Pereira, the author or 'A LETTER TO GOAN BY AN EAST
INDIAN BUGGER', Guitar strumming Chico Fonseca rending Goan Mandos, capturing
caricatured faces by Joseph Dias, a round of self introductions prompted by GN
Admin Frederick Noronha, addresses by Oscar Lobo, GSRP's Goodwill Ambassador &
NRG Convener, Melbourne Australia, Dominic Fernandes and the window to Xavier's
Historical Research Centre by Fr. Savio completed the sucessful event of the
day. Those attending among many others whose names I have not caught, were:
Luis de Assis Correia, Dr. Joe D'souza, Brig. Ian D'Costa, Poet Manohar Shetty,
John Eric Gomes, Eric Pinto with daughter Gail, Augusto Pinto, Tony D'Sa, Tony
Martins, Albert, Nalini Souza, Aires Rodrigues, Eugene Correia, GN's Bosco
with son and charming daughter, Stephen Dias, Pratima, Chintan, Rochelle
Carvalho, Nitin Volvoikar, Florence Mendes, Mrs. Minta & Mrs. Teles, Bernadette
Gomes, Lizia Maria Dsouza, Olga Peters, Hazel Lobo, Nigel Fernandes, Alexandre
Rodrigues, Jyoti Fernandes, A Veronica Fernandes, Manuel Caldeira, Celsa Pinto,
Zito Braganza, Albertina Almeida, Arsenio, Gerard, Devika Sequeira, Bro. Tony &
Cicero from Margao. Overall, it was a memorable meet with samosas, buiscuits
and tea as refreshments. Even though the weather was cool, the electricity
played truant and it was quite uncomfortable, especially to Senior citizen
Chico Fonseca entertaining the Goanetters.
