This E-Mail is for Hon'ble Prime Minister .....Mr Narendra Modi . What does A
VVIPs frequent visit means to Mumbai City .... an expense of approximate Rs 6
Crore a day.( of the inputs that I could gather ,it May be more too). From Two
days prior visit bureaucracy's work from Mantralaya , Police , BMC etc comes
at a stand still making necessary arrangements ,bandobast of around 5000 police
staff , all HoD's & all department higher authorities engaged till send off
.... Arrangements of CCTV Surveillance, security arrangments , 7 star hotels
accommodation, cars , personal & additional staff , special force , naka bandi
, chaos of traffic jams / alternate alignment etc .....All authorities on road
in attention till 'Send Off ..'Immediate ,emergency rectification or
beautification of roads ,street lights & 99% where no one is to check whether
those or that much was required or not & since there is no time to check or
tender one spends/charges without fear unaccountable ... On 04/01/15 ,
Inauguration of Mumbai University was understood .... BUT attending a wedding
ceremony on 18/01/15 at the cost of public is just not understood ...... (
Approx 6 Crores). Hectic weekends of Mumbai Police apart from bars/pubs duty ,
day-to-day crime ... From 04/01/15, Hon PM's Visit ,Id-E -Milad , Parel riots &
Sunday's Equal Street'a social circus ......... On 11/01/15, Umang , Ghana &
India President's Visit .& Equal Streets tamasha .......... On 18/01/15,
Marathon , Hon PM's visit ( marriage ) & Equal Streets movement tamasha.. With
all the Pre-Election Speech on every news channel , We all thought , now would
be a government of concern , transparency ,accountability ,new reforms would be
imposed ...BUT this seems an expensive affair of such frequent visits at public
cost ... then follows all other foreign visits which may be in multiples of 4
or 5 ... A lot of back log, inspections & enquiries & timely justice at a
stand still .. Can , we not be a little reasonable & concern of tax-payers
money ..How are you different from your pre-decessor...?Can you not be
different & a little reasonable .?
