01042007 Why do rich getting richer? Be it a Minister, Police Inspector, MLA, or just a village Sarpanch. Why they keep on getting rich? Why lottery winnings etc going only to the rich men ? Why there is inequalitity of Income? Why there is a huge gap between the 'have' and 'have not'? Is it because God on the rich peoples side ? Today, at least for today, let us not talk about anyone from the above mentioned people/category, instead, how about talking about our very own notorious, controversial & wealthy UK NRI JoeGoaUk? What about him, did he win a lottery o what ? Not really a lottery but you can say something like that. (note: This is coming from the desk of PA to JoeGoaUk, pl. pl. keep this confidential) OK, lets briefly talk about his bank balances (one bank only). He has at least 11 bank A/Cs in 11 different banks in Goa including Margao, Vasco, Panaji, Cansaulim, Calafura, Agxi and Utorda (and 5 banks in UK). Now, take a look at this particular Bank (Panaji) details. He has 8+8+8 lakhs (Rs.) fixed deposits for 15 years in 3 different names (himself, wife & Son). Fetching 11% interest. In next 10 years, on maturity, the above principal amount will swell** something like this 24+24+24. He opened this a/c 5 years ago. **This reminds me of two NRI sisters fighting.. One said Ami tumche baxen girest nhuim, tumkode Goem flat bhi asa.. The other: ..tumko flat nam zaliar kitem zalem? Goem Bankant dudu nant kitem suz eunk gailieat te? (one sister says..we are not rich like you.. you have a flat (3bed) in Goa etc.. to this the second sister responds ..so what? Dont you have huge money in Goan Banks which are sitting there to swell? (to swell with bank interest). Ok. Let's move on. Did you hear about his recent windfall from youtube (Google) ? He first read about it on Goanet (through Gabe, see link below). http://lists.goanet.org/pipermail/goanet-goanet.org/2007-January/053703.html There was no mail from utube but later on he found out that there was a message waiting in youtube message inbox which says 'besides other payments, every clip he uploaded will fetch $90'. And he has over 150 clips. As if that was not enough, recently he had an offer from an UK National (based in Goa for last 5 years) who in response to his recent mail, came forward to take over the entire JoeGoaUk or JoeUkGoa at a whooping offer price 25k British Pounds (negotiable). He is meeting him again today at Goa Marriott, Miramar. So, all flickr photos, his Goa clips and his yahoo group (see links below) will be owned not by Goan but UK National whose name also happens to be Joe. Are we going to do something about this for selling it to an outsider ? Did you see now, how rich becoming richer ? Homework: After comparing JoeGoaUks accumulated wealth with that of most Politicians/Ministers, most Policemen, most Sarpanchas, most Govt. Servants etc, can you spot the difference ? 01042007 * as the married sister (despite a huge dowry at the time of her marriage) also in line for her share and when confronted by the neighbours, she says her husband wants it and not her.
