Think about it, everytime there is an election around, bhakts from every
party go into mud-slinging mode. They passionately operate their social
media trebuchets and because they lack any real ammo against the enemy,
they have to resort to the online world equivalent of hurling decomposed
animals and excreta, hoping that the other side will catch the plague.

One such instance is the recent allegation against AAP regarding some
so-called dubious transactions of 500000 that happened at midnight. The
accusations were that some of these companies do have legitimate address
and that AAP should have verified these companies before accepting their
cheques.

The lack of intelligence is evident from the fact that RBI encourages
cheque transactions because the money is considered white. If the
legitimacy of the companies is in question, it is the responsibility of the
banks, in which these companies operate accounts, to verify the addresses
and identities of the customers. As such, the bank manager has to be held
responsible. Doesn't anyone, in the largest party in the Lok sabha, have
the courage (or intelligence) to tell their party workers "Stop, what your
saying is wrong!"?

I'm not sure whether any party can claim the high intelligence ground but
what I am sure that democracy is for those who deserve it. A scientist once
tried teaching wild monkeys how to use voting method to select the alpha
male.. He was never heard from again. I would imagine that the aggressive
monkeys drove him out of the forest and then fought among each other till
the strongest one prevailed. The passive monkeys just sat nearby just
watching.

Although we have much evolved out of the primal behavior of monkeys, there
is definitely something about elections that brings out the monkey in many
of us.
