Vasco Sports Club. “I Know Derrick Pereira very well from my days at Vasco
and I have a lot of respect for him. He will come with a tactical plan
which makes for a very exciting game,” stated Mathew.

Salgaocar Coach Derrick Pereira is looking forward to the local derby.
“Goan derbies are always exciting, as the teams know each other inside out,
it brings out the best in the local players and there is a great buzz from
the Goan supporters,” remarked Derrick Pereira.

When the two clubs met in the I-League at the same venue last season the
match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with a lot of twists in the tale. Much
is expected from both sides in this Goan derby.
