THIS IS A REPLY TO YOUR LETTER TO ME. I do not agree with the position of what Goa has been given/received. Here in Goa is a Mess. Full of robberies.. Casinos still not shunted out from Mandovi river and the youth in Goa are gone crazy for gambling and prostitution Foreigners are not safe and nowadays we found outsiders and insiders raping girls,, thefts , loud music at night on beaches, . Foreigners are disgusted coming to Goa. No control at all. Roads are in bad shape. Panjim especially with dust all around. Garbage stinking on roads, Urination and defecation is openly done by tourists on hidden lanes/ roads, Price rise for essential commodities and fish is not available for locals easily, Parking problem. Lots of vehicles on roads. Taxes are on higher side. No safety for the locals. Corruption is in full swing. Even rivers like Sal , Mandovi , Zuari are polluted .Shortage of drinking water. Bad electricity supply and always interrupted. Unemployment in Goa for locals. Migrant population is on the rise. Migrants Editors writes whatever they want and hence it is projected a wrong picture and bad publicity, They do not entertain most of our Goan writers and activists letters and either mostly deleted for publishing or badly edited. I have stopped sending my stuff to them and I have concentrated only to Goan editors like Goanet, Niz Goenkar and Target Goa. ( internet). High rise buildings are mushrooming in Goa for tourists to stay and they buy the flats, bungalows and villas/housing. Goans cannot afford it, This is the exact picture of Goa nowadays. Hope Goa to develop in future in a better way provided politicians becomes sober and less corrupt, I pray that Goa comes at higher level, and you guys can visit Goa at that time. Politicians are really spoiling Goa and looting Goa. The title what was projected to Goa is completely wrong and inadequate by the newspaper. . Goa is a good land for the good tourists but the Government has destroyed the tourism sector.
