*Sporting Clube de Goa and Pune share spoils*

Sporting Clube de Goa and Pune FC drew 1-1 in round 7 of the Hero I-League
organised by the AIFF at Balewadi Stadium, Pune on Saturday. The match was
goalless at the interval.

It took Thongkhosiem Haokip just nine minutes into the second session to
net his 5th goal of the season when he tapped in after Arata Izumi and
Nikhil Kadam did the initial spade work.

Sporting Goa piled on the pressure and came up with the equaliser when
Victorino Fernandes stayed calm and composed to slot the ball under the
Pune custodian, after receiving substitute Beevan D’Mello’s neat pass.

The last fifteen minutes was played at a rejuvenated tempo as both teams
searched for the elusive winner, but it was not to be and in the end both
sides had to be content with a point apiece.

With this result Pune have accumulated 12 points from seven matches, while
Sporting Goa has now collected 3 points from six games.
