Two young Goan musicians, Syanna Fernandes and Chernoll Mendonca have been
selected to represent India at the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra concert
series between 8-12 March 2015.

The two musicians are being sent by Child's Play India Foundation, as its
representatives. Child's Play India Foundation is a music charity that
works to instill positive values and provide social empowerment through
classical music to India's underprivileged children. Syanna is a violin
teacher at Child's Play India Foundation, Chernoll is concertmaster of the
charity's orchestra, Camerata Child's Play India.

The charity is privileged to be the only organisation representing the
country at this prestigious concert series, a pivotal part of
the Commonwealth Week 2015 celebrations which will be attended by Heads of
State, Commonwealth High Commissioners, British Ministers of State and
Captains of Industry.

Their trip to London is sponsored by the Commonwealth Music
Partnership, which has Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II as its Diamond
Jubilee Patron and Maestro Zubin Mehta as its Music Patron.

This is a huge milestone for Goan musicians and a matter of enormous pride
and prestige for us all. Syanna and Chernoll will leave for London at the
end of this month. Please do interview them about this exciting opportunity
and their upcoming trip. You can call me on 9011051950 /

Do let me know if you would like more information.

Best wishes,
Luis
