Narendra Modi fooled the people of India promising ‘Acche din’ while
craftily keeping the hidden agenda under wraps till he usurped power.
Nowhere in sight those promised 15 lakhs in 100 days for every household as
share of that black money stacked overseas. Instead the BJP is now
unleashing its vicious communal agenda which will only further tatter our
great nation.

Initiating it with ‘ghar wapsi’ and followed by attacks on Mother Teresa,
the beef ban is just a continuation of the series of sordid events
unfolding. The worse is yet to come. A 10 year imprisonment for possessing
beef but a maximum sentence of two years for death of a human being caused
by a rash and negligent act, only shows where our country is headed.

It has started with Beef and undoubtedly lamb, chicken and pork will follow
all well engraved in the RSS driven BJP’s poisonous menu. The BJP’s beef
ban in Maharashtra will soon spill into Goa with Manohar Parrikar having
already laid the ground work by fuelling and fielding that NGO last year.
But till then, with the Tourism industry currently in doldrums, the
Government can for now promote Goa as a Beef destination. Ironically the
BJP’s right wing fringe groups, who are targeting the beef trade, seem to
be now tacitly in consonance with the rampant casino gambling, prostitution
and narcotics trade that Goa is submerged in.

The First President of United States George Washington had rightly said
“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are
likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which
cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the
power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government,
destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust
dominion.”
