The citizens have to wake up if they treasure their freedom. Only the voters in
Panchwadi noticed and objected to the registration process! I personally met Dr
Modassir after the last election and he said he would include necessary
directions in the Election handbook, ensure at counting stage and thereafter
etc. I had also called on local MLA Kaunte and gave copies of correspondence. I
now find not only is the same process followed, but I found another stamp on my
ballot paper besides the number in the counterfoil book on the ballot paper!
When I asked what is this round stamp, I was told ward number! So the
government can pin point who voted and exactly from where!And what happened to
NOTA?Eternal vigilance is the price of keeping our hard fought freedom. Secret
ballot means the ballot paper must not have anything that can identify me. Who
knows what the future holds with repressive governments wanting to silence all
dissent !
