Dear Hon. Minister of Tourism and RTO Dillip Parulekar Hon. Sir,
You might be aware that D.Paula does not have a BUS STAND and that the tourists and other vehicles coming in and out from D.Paula is seen parking everyday on the main D.Paula road coming from Bamboilm or unofficially at the NIWS ( National Water sports complex authority) near the down junction road which goes to Miramar. Many options were suggested by the residents of D.Paula to Tourism Dept and the RTO as well as the traffic Cell in-charge, but no results is achieved. The Government of Goa headed by our HON. CM Laxmikant Parsekar was also trying his level best to find a suitable place but failed to get any Bus stand at D.Paula. The residents are everyday complaining for the MESS created by sewerage contractor and the water pipeline PWD as the road is partially closed for vehicular traffic to the Jetty. Lots of dust people are breathing even the NIO staff are been affected for joining their regular office work. Today ( 4th April 2015 at 10 AM ) I have spotted a BULL DOZER a caterpillar JCB working a this site for an huge project. This project appeard to be meant for M/s Matias Plaza who has purchase the plot from Agarwal . This area which is seen in the photograph, comes between the BOOT BUNGLOW which is near at the side of NIO colony and Mr. Nelson Cabral ex-councilor of CCP who is well connected with the ruling Government ( BJP). We the residents suggest that this place may be acquired by the Government to have a BUS STAND so that there is some relief for the residents of D.Paula if there is not alternative place. We see everyday hundreds of Tourist Buses and other vehicles parking on this main road which is at the moment on widening process by PWD., Work Div II. I have earlier brought this to the information of the Government that the widening at this slope close to the NIO circle may not be materialize as thre are many objections from some vested interest. Tourism Minister as well the Govt of Goa in conjunction with CCP and the Traffic Cell dept must work together to see the light of the day for a construction of a building for BUS Stand.
