While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is negotiating Defence deals in Paris, the Defence Minister of India Manohar Parrikar is preoccupied and content with ?fishy? deals in Goa. Is it not an irony that Manohar Parrikar was in Goa launching a mobile fish stall instead of being in France with the Prime Minister, finalizing and announcing those Defence acquisitions? It exposes the sorry state of affairs and raises questions on the actual role of Manohar Parrikar in the functioning of the Union Government. Even during US President Barack Obama?s visit to India earlier this year Manohar Parrikar was visibly sidelined at every function.
