Dear all
If it was not for the World G.O.A.N. network and your support we could not do
the work we do.
Thank you all for your assistance, donations, support. As you know Goa Sudharop
is volunteer
driven (no salaries) - our volunteers give their time freely. In addition, we
do not pay rent or
administrative costs so 100% of funds received (except for some postage and
miscellaneous costs),
go directly to various charities and causes.
An update on the International Raffle of December 2006, initiated by Mervyn
Lobo (Toronto) and
supported throughout the Goan diaspora. Approximately US $7,000 was raised. Out
of this amount
$4,000 will be allocated to orphanages in Goa and the remaining amount to be
allocated to
environmental causes in keeping with our 2007 theme YEAR OF THE ENVIRONMENT. We
have been doing
our due diligence and checking various orphanages in Goa to make sure there is
complete
accountability and responsibility. The choices will be announced soon and the
environmental awards
later this year.
