Has Goa’s Tourism promoted murders of our Taxi drivers? How many taxi drivers have not been killed by criminals posing as domestic tourists and their taxis driven off to different States? Why is it that no one takes up this issue in educating the taxi drivers to take adequate precautions on personal Safety? Can the Goa Police not make certain Regulations mandatory? For the Safety of taxi drivers, I feel every hired taxi driver should click a photograph of the passenger tourist as mandatory Police Regulation and send the picture to the nearest Police station by MMS. A Criminal will then think twice as he cannot escape his identity if he commits a crime.
