With the Goa Police over the last one month being unable to locate the absconding former Minister Mickky Pacheco, the onus is now on Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar as Home Minister to himself lead the search to track his absconding mouse or else to find another little hole to conceal himself.
After the 30th March Supreme Court verdict upholding Mickky Pacheco’s six month jail sentence, Laxmikant Parsekar had publicly vowed that the law will take its own course. But his double talk stands exposed with everybody now well aware that Mickky Pacheco is on the run with the Government giving him all possible haven to evade that warrant of arrest. We are witnessing a very sad and sordid chapter in Goa’s history where a law maker is making a mockery of the Justice delivery system. And that too with the tacit support of the Government. Mr. Chief Minister, you are ebbing Goa to a very new low. You had not long ago blurted that ‘Disabled people are God’s mistake”. Who should we now blame for your government disabling the rule of law in allowing your MLA Mickky Pacheco to abscond? The buck now stops at your door, Mr. CM.
