Garden in Porvorim is not a priority Porvorim is a satellite town next to Panjim is expanding fast on all sides with settlements Gardens are rightly called the lungs of the cities At least there is a thoughtful provision for recreation of the residents. There should be at least an attempt to clear the site of under growth and make it safe for the visitors. It does not look a priority for anyone to attract voters as a bait .Clearing the site is no big deal, that it requires stupendous expenditure rather than the will and sensitivity to public need. When the facility already exists., It only takes a minimum interest to develop and spruce the place and put it on the track as a need most desirable facility, Actually in a place like Porvorim availability of a place and further making a provision can be an uphill task .A very vocal ,local legislator should not be goaded or pleaded to see the reality. May be it has dawned upon him that it should be taken suo motu as another plan that deserves worthy consideration to be pursued with all his might at the earliest The residents, kids, elders need a place to relax
