*The Holy Spirit Church Tour* To celebrate the completion of 450 years of the Holy Spirit Church, we have organised a Photography and History tour of the church on Monday, 1st June 2015 at 9am.
The church steeped in history has interesting things that will be showed and explained by historian Fr. Nasimento Mascarenhas and Mr Valmiki Faleiro, author of Soaring Spirit, a recently released book on the church. If time permits we will also do a small tour of the church square that will takes us to the Alvares house that have the bullet marks of the massacre of 21st September 1890, the first primary school in Goa, the Cidas Alms chapel built in memory of the people killed in the massacre, the old Margao Municipality, the location where Shahrukh Khan’s first movie was shot, plus many other historical location.
