The villagers around Aldona seem to have taken a fondness to their bridges. These bridges are brightly lit and so seem safe to those who wish to hang around there in the evenings. If you go there in the evenings especially in summer, you'll find lots of people hanging around enjoying the breeze that they get there, which comes unobstructed by anything.
Around these bridges little gaddas have sprung up offering bhajas and stuff like that. On one end of the Corjuem bridge there is a Chinese joint and at the Corjuem end there is a chap who does Catholic choris pao; beef chilly fry; tandoori and so on. If you're hungry and hot in the evening and have nothing to do it's not a bad idea to head out on a vehicle to the bridges of Aldona. Augusto
