There is a replica of a ship in the Ribandar Church. I saw it when I was little and the painting could have been better. Hopefully someone did a better job since.
My grand uncle Pdr. Alvaro Lodovico Figureido (de Batim) who was the parish priest for a few years, and earlier a missionary at places like Karwar, Sirsi, Dharwar (not sure if he preached and served in all three places), died at the Clergy Home in Porvorim. Someday I may request Ribandar parishioners for permission to paint it if they feel its worth their while.
