COMMENT:

Personally, AS LONG AS there was NO Quid pro Quo, I see NO wrong in One Person
helping Another Person for whatever reason.

I wish more folks would do that.

That being said, and with the sketchy and confusing reporting in the Nooj
Papers, a few points and questions arise.....especially with the explanations:

1: it appears that Lalit Modi was in the UK. IF his passport was revoked (temp
or not), was he Stateless while in the UK?......or was he accorded Permanent
Status (without a passport) ?

2: Why the surgery in Portugal? Is that the centre for Ca surgery in Europe?
Without taking away her right to have treatment wherever she wishes, Could she
not have that surgery done in the UK or India?

3: The two parts which raise questions in my very simple mind (a) WHY would the
husband need to sign consent for surgery on an Adult wife with Mental Capacity?
(b) Does the UK provide Travel Documents to nonUK nationals?

4: While I understand Vaz's constituency in Leicester being substatially
Gujrati, and while I can understand Ms Swaraj's Ingraji "I TOLD Mr. Vaz" to
mean ' I REQUESTED Mr. Vaz', i thought to myself .......Not Again Mr. Vaz
.....Not after the Hinduja thing.

5: But then, there might be Facts which are NOT in the public domain yet AND
Loopholes in UK nationality act that many among us ( me included ) do not know
about.

6: Fortunately, neither my family nor I need ( and hopefully will never need )
Mr. Vaz's intervention. To that end, I sincerely Thank Salazar and Nehru.
