On 21st August last year the then Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had assured the members of the Goa Legislative Assembly that all the Casino advertisements displayed on the police barricades would be removed immediately. It is almost a year and those Casinos advertisements have only amplified.
In a very highly reprehensible act, those Casino advertisements were being displayed even at the very entrance of Sharada Mandir School at Miramar. When the attention of North Goa Collector Nila Mohanan was drawn yesterday she acted very promptly and directed their removal. Thank you, Madam. Hope the authorities keep their eyes and ears always open and at all times act sensitively and thoughtfully.
