The talk of the village is that Amitabh Bacchan has bought for 5 crores (some say leased for 5 years) the Dr Antoninho Souza house that is close to the turn leading to the Nachinola Panchayat.
To those unaware, this village lies squeezed between the better known Moira and Aldona. This house certainly can be seen to be being lavishly spruced up of late. For a village that is believed to come from descendants of dancing girls or kalavants the Big B has made a wise choice of village to adopt. :) Augusto Disclaimer: I personally don't subscribe to the Nach-go-Nola legend which is promoted by among others Andron restaurant, the Goan Catholic speciality restaurant in the village run by Tony. And I prefer to think the village name is derived from the Konkani word 'nacchnem' or ragi.
