In yet another desperate and skewed stunt to get fresh air, the jailed Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco has got the Sarpanches and Panch members of all the six panchayats of Nuvem constituency to sign a petition to the government demanding that their MLA be released on parole during the Assembly session that starts on July 27th so that he could raise the pending issues of the constituency in the Legislative Assembly. In trying to get parole to attend the Assembly session Mickky Pacheco is seeking a frantic respite from his current imprisonment.
This latest move by Mickky Pacheco is just another attempt to make a mockery of the law and the Justice delivery system. For the Nuvem MLA his only priority has to be to complete that six month jail sentence that was upheld by four Courts and even the Supreme Court of India. Mickky Pacheco should be dealt like any other convict and all his innovative moves to curtail that six month jail sentence must be thrashed. After absconding for two long months, the flamboyant former Minister Mickky Pacheco who surrendered on June 1st is undergoing a well deserved six month jail sentence for having in 2006 while a Minister slapped Electricity department Junior Engineer Kapil Natekar.
