On good authority, the number of people who prepaid for tickets as well as just turned up and paid, was between 3,000 and 3,500. None were turned away.
While there is no census or reliable estimate of Goans in the Greater Toronto area, a consensus of views of people in the know (including a statistician) put it at 40,000-ish. If that is so, then it's quite a coup to have 8.75% of your community be in the same spot at the same time.
