Dear members of IPB and Govt. of Goa, It has been reported in the media that a proposal from Lava International for setting up of an electronic manufacturing plant in Goa has been submitted to Govt. of Goa. It is a matter of prestige that Goa has been considered. The entry of one company can potentially attract attention of the larger industry and be the turning point for Goa's economy that presently is supported by some industries of questionable ethics. In the interest of job creation and re-branding of Goa as an IT-friendly state, the Goa Govt. should give a red carpet welcome to Lava International. This investment should be turned into an example of fast paced approvals and clearances. Goa IT Professionals strongly urge the Govt. to accept the proposal and clear the way for a sustainable knowledge based industry in the state, where Goans can earn respectable livelihood. -- Regards, Goa IT Professionals www.goaitpro.org -- Regards, Goa IT Professionals www.goaitpro.org
