Help other CONSUMERS to be better informed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ GOACAN to highlight various consumer issues on postal services during the Postal Week 9th to 14th October. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the occasion of World Post Day being observed on 9th October, GOACAN has called on consumers to use the grievance redressal system available in all Post Offices to settle their complaints so that the Postal services improve in the Goa Division.
GOACAN will highlight various consumer issues on postal services during the Postal Week being observed from 9th to 14th October. Among the issues that will be covered during the Postal Week are use of the Complaint Book that is available in the 150 Branch Post Offices in the villages of Goa, 100% delivery of letters that are received in all Post offices, getting familiar with the new envelope size under the Standardization of Mail program, importance of use of Pin Code and awareness of the Beat Map of every Post Office. Other issues to be covered are functioning of the Post Forums by holding of quarterly meetings in all P roject Arrow Post Offices, availability of the MY STAMP scheme, philatelic bureau membership, availability of various new stamps, sale of stamps by the Postman during delivery of letters to homes & offices and introduction of letter boxes on the ground floor of all multi storey buildings. Another issue that will be covered is the functioning of Computerized Post Offices as APIOs for Central Government Departments with the acceptance of RTI applications on payment of Rs. 10/- under the Right to Information Act 2005.
