Margao Post office is staggering The Head post office at Margao is limping badly, There is a sanctioned compliment for 24 workers, but the Post master is on record having to do with just 12 employees It is functioning, operational at what costs to the customers? Those who could be functional have not received their official ID`s Even then, often there are request for deputations inspite of working with depleted strength Hours are wasted in Q`s and it is a pity that senior citizens have to bear the brunt of this insensitivity, don`t care attitude of indifference. Services such as NSC, Senior Citzens schemes, MIS etc are held up since October and with no promise of clearing the back log, raising doubts and mistrust about agents, unable to deliver the documents, certificates submitted The Higher ups Superintendent and Post Master General ensconced comfortably in their cozy positions merely raising their hands in despair When Posts cannot handle their basic functions, why are they adding to the burden with other services designed to add to their profitability ? The people from surrounding places are rushing to Margao with the hope of getting facility
