Invitation for St. Joseph Vaz Mass at St. Dunstan’s Church Sunday February 14, 2016 We cordially invite the San Francisco Bay Area Indian and Sri Lankan Catholic communities to a celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph Vaz (1651-1711) and the First Anniversary of his Canonization by H.H. Pope Francis around this time last year (January 14, 2015).
St. Joseph Vaz, born in Goa, is known as” Man of the Gospel, Son of Goa, Apostle of Canara and Ceylon and Patron of the Archdiocese of Goa”. He is also known for his apostolic work in rescuing the Catholic Church in areas surrounding Mangalore and later in Sri Lanka. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Al Furtado, CSSp on Sunday Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Dunstan’s Church located on 1133 Broadway Ave, Millbrae, CA 94030. Tel: (650) 697-4730.
