Expression of Gratitude and appreciation to Mr Cypriano The members of the aforementioned co operative society are deeply saddened and mourn by the demise of their active member Mr Cypriano Lopes .The society is immensely indebted to him and finds no words to express their gratitude.
Mr Cyprian purchased the flat in 1998 at Victor Apartments, Annaxim, Cujira , Santa Cruz. In 2003 he united the owners of 4 buildings of Victor Apartments to register as the society for control and benefits. In his capacity as the Secretary, he used his influence, experience, legal knowledge at a great personal sacrifice of time, efforts , and resources, surmounting impediments and ,finally registered Godwin Co Operative Housing Society Ltd, under Reg. No ARCS/CZ/HSG/528(B) of Goa co operative Act 2005. After the completion of the society, he resigned voluntarily to emphasize indispensability, but continued serving in the Executive Committee In 2008 8, August through a legal formality, the Sale Deed of Conveyance of land and buildings was transferred in favor of Godwin Co Operative Housing Society Ltd un der No 2442 , pgs 486 to 557 of BK B , volume 1995 with Sub Registrar, Tiswadi , Panaji In 2010 the society faced another threat to is legally conveyed property. M/S Naik Auto Corporation Margao constructed automobile work shop, It is prohibited in residential zone through Goa Gazette to stop the nuisance air , water , noise pollution, traffic chaos and safety of the residents. Cypriano once again mobilized the residents , locals and convinced forcefully the Sarpanch of Village Panchayat of Santa Cruz to stop issuing trade licence Continuing harassment of the society, in 2014 Godwin A A Gonsalves , who had constructed Bldgs. 3 &4 with 8 flats, 4 shops, 4 garages, of Victor apartments, leased 4 garages and 4 shops to Monarch Agencies Karnataka, without obtaining mandatory N.O.C from the now registered society. The Sarpanch in 2015 granted trade licence dated 10-4-2015, under pressure and for selfish interest, ignoring the legitimate objections by the Society. Mr Cypriano, once again guided and toiled to file a petition with the Director of Panchayat, U/S 178, Panchayat Act of 1994. The case to suspend the illegal licence is in progress .His absence is a void in our battle for the cause of the society , for which he worked selflessly and tirelessly and even on the death bed was concerned about the progress .Thus the birth , growth and measures to safeguard the legal rights of the society are intimately entwined with the wisdom, experience, legal insights of Cypriano. He was thus the architect of our society. We assured him that we will fight with the determination to the very end. Cypriano being an affable, suave, friendly , good fearing and devout individual has touched the hearts and minds of the residents of Godwin Co -op society for all times to come.
