Both English and Vernacular press has profusely lauded his works love and concern for Konkani, though greatlyhandicapped by restrictions of service conditions. His wide experiences in services, as employee in the school, Heraldo correspondent of repute, Medical representative & Programme Executive was admired and respected by his colleagues and superiors As the then President of Chinchinim Jaycees he founded the First award in kon in 1987 for chinchinim village schools His friends and admirers have decided to institute another Kon award as the best and fitting tribute for his love for Kon The P,C.Trust will always remain indebted and do all it can that he is not forgotten in the minds and hearts of People nelson Lopes Chinchinim
