BJP IS DAY DREAMING The BJP in Goa has been lulled into false sense of complacency, wishing and hoping the best to come. The aspirations of the voters have been shattered, All it is does is to bestow doles on each and every one with the hope of further consolidating its vote bank, It is bad economics to make people dependent on such freebies, which come from tax payers and which should have gone into productive purposes. Take for example doles to fishermen during off seasons and subsidy on fuel. The fish costs have touched the ceilings with nothing available for less than Rs100= How does the Govt justify these expenditure from public funds. If industry workers are laid off, if public bus drivers etc clamour for pensions will it be denied?
The BJP rise in power is due to the misdeeds of previous Congress Govt, The ire of the people is seen in their loss and not participating in Municipal elections, thus playing safe. There is no united Congress opposition or voice against the BJP rule and misrule The central authority is playing silent tactics best known to them The independents who aligned out of greed and self preservations were not elected to support and make cause with BJP, In fact with BJP enjoying majority, their support is just meaningless BJP in 40 members council of Ministers has just two Minister representing minority community and the way both are i being sidelined, ignored and humiliated is public knowledge .The independents just assure themselves that aligning with BJP is providing development funds to the constituency, which is not favour from personal funds, Let them stand once again as independents or better still on BJP ticket, that will expose their real worth In the mean time splinter groups, and ambitious, well meaning candidates are preparing themselves to join the fight, This will only divide the votes of the minority community and will be most welcomed , encouraged and indirectly supported, financed by the communalist enemy to see it victorious, as the votes of the BJP have always remained intact in all previous elections. Thus divide and rule policy will prevail and once again the efforts to dislodge will be in vain. Some selfish religious leaders who made common cause with the communalist, were self appointed with the motive for change have been belied The balance of power as in the past will alone ensure stability and not ride rough shod over all sane reasons Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
