The Goan Overseas Association in London was founded in 1966. A meeting was called and 17 men were present at one of the function rooms at Caxton Hall, St James Park, London. My friend Tony D'Costa had contacted me to attend this meet. He was serving his apprenticeship, at Biritish Aircraft Corporation in Weybridge and I was in the RAF stationed in Uxbridge, Middx.
I think Tony and myself are the only two founding members still alive! That same year Reita Faria graced an occasion that was held at a Hall in Cumberland Place, Victoria. We were told not to bring in any cameras as there were copyright issues with Mecca, who ran the Miss World contest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reita_Faria -- DEV BOREM KORUM Gabe Menezes.
