When you assumed office as a Mayor of Panjim, lot was expected from you, being a very senior Councillor/corporator. You have failed miserably in the past and even today you are unable to see the real issue of St Inez creek and addressed the problems. You are planning to bring 12 crores white elephant to clean up St. Inez creek. You promised to give Panjim Garcia de Orta garden a new look, but like a headless chicken you have succeeded making the said garden a barber shop with idiots eating, drinking and destroying plants etc. What a pity, what a disgrace, what a disappointment for the people of Panjim. Instead of making a really smart city, you are dancing with saffron brigade by declaring Mala as a Smart City destination. Mala is not Panjim, you have forgotten totally to address the casino menace in the heart of the city. I hope you are able to generate enough revenue for parking from outside station gamblers and by business houses, truckers who abuse the Panjim roads and ensure that the local residents of Panjim are not harassed by your lack of fore sight. Honest persons should be involved in improving the condition in the city who should be taken into confidence and those involve in the upkeep of the city must be given passes, so that the nuisance created is monitored, otherwise a resident visiting Panjim for shopping will turn up spending huge parking fees. Smart City requires ward committee members to monitor and they should be empowered to take action against defaulters. Everytime you say that you do not want a credit but it is allegedly shows inclination for a scam promotion spree.
