*Gogol, Margao,* *Goa 40362* *2759555* *09868181344* *9422439990* *30th June, 2016-06-30* *GOA GOVERNMENT SHOULD DECLARE ITSELF BANKRUP IF THEY CANNOT ADOPT 7th PAY COMMISSION’S RECOMENDATIONS-Shantaram Naik* * FOR THE FAVOUR OF PUBLICATION* *Mr Shantaram Naik M.P. in a statement issued today has demanded that the Goa Government should hold the cabinet meeting on the issue of implementation of Central 7th Pay Commission Report , adopt the same, and should implement the recommendations without diluting or declare itself bankrupt if they are unable to implement the report in toto.* * Mr Naik says that in case the government feels that the financial position of the State Government is very weak then, they should declare so openly and seek financial assistant from the Central Government on that ground.* * Mr Naik further says that closure of mining was first done by the the BJP government by issuing a Gazette notification dated 10th September 2012 and the present Defence Minister of the country who was the Chief Minister then, is fully responsible for the same.* * Mr Naik said that the State Government employees should not be made to suffer on account of the wrong , illegal and mischievous acts of the BJP government.* * Mr Naik said that Congress Government , during their period, had taken all the necessary steps to see to it that the State Government employees and other employees get the benefits of the Central Pay Commission during the time of implementation of 6th Pay Commission’s recommendations.* * Mr Naik said that the Government has not made any efforts to raise revenues which could be done without hurting the pockets of common man , and for which there was ample scope but, the government who have relied upon only casinos income, did not make any genuine efforts to make Goa's economy the financially sound.* *SHANTARAM NAIK*
