While our dear friend and Goa's Deputy Speaker Vishnu Wagh battles for his
life, a senior doctor at the Hinduja hospital has today informed that he
continues to be brain dead and that a formal MRI will be conducted after
which the family will decide whether he should continue on the ventilator.

Doctors do not rule out that Vishnu Wagh might have missed out on vital and
critical treatment while at the Goa Medical College. Let us continue
praying for our multi talented and ever so versatile Vishnu Surya Wagh. May
there be a miracle for the sake of Goa.

COMMENT:
Aires, please don't shoot in the dark!
Very easy to say : "Vishnu Wagh might have missed out on vital and
critical treatment while at the Goa Medical College."
Don't bring here cross examination tactics.
NO DOCTOR CAN EVER state that there was any deficiency in treatment given,
unless there is concrete evidence; even when best and expert treatment was
given.
So Aires, Please don't try to plant doubts in people's mind with your lawyer's
brains.
Try and understand Medical facts!
Even many layman by now know that brain cells die if deprived of blood
circulation/oxygenation for more than THREE MINUTE!
Vishnu Wagh had a Cardiac arrest following a heart attack some time back,
after which he was revived and the block re-canalised by angioplasty. Which
means he had definitely suffered death of some part of the heart muscle. He was
advised rest for six moths to recuperate, which he ignored.
This second attack he got now, resulted also in cardiac arrest, and it is very
much possible that it lasted for more than THREE MINUTES.
There is even a possibility that this time it was a real cardiac arrest and
that the first time was a ventricular fibrillation. It is normally so.
So, Please; Do not venture into the medical field when one is unaware of the
sequence following heart attacks.

Dr. Ferdinando dos Reis Falcão.
