Show-casing Goa With the big international meeting in Goa which will attract a big international crowd and a big crowd of Indian press and security officials, that should be a bonanza for native Goans.
One suggestion for Goans to showcase Goa and also make a buck (money) is to have a variety of gift baskets that the visitors can take home for their relatives and friends. Perhaps "gift baskets" is known in Goa. But if not, the gift baskets if a great idea for visitors and festivals. These are small basket woven in Goa and filled with GOA-MADE items like packaged sweets, fruit-preserves, fruit jams, dried fruits, pickles, alcohol, handicrafts, dried flowers, sealed packaged dried fish and meats and cheese, etc, and anything Goan that will fit in the small basket.
