DR JACK SEQUEIRA DEATH ANNIVERSARY NOT PUBLICIZE BY THE GOVERNMENT ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - it is unfortunate that Goa Government has forgotten about the Death Anniversary of Jack Sequeira this year? Several organizations have participated especially AAP had a grand rally with scooters and 4 wheeler from Goa Medical College upto the statue of Dr Jack Sequeira at Dona Paula circle. Family of late Dr. Jack Sequeira's wife , sister, children and grand children and other relatives were present for the commemoration and APP leaders and grand son Mr. Jack Makhiza spoke at the function near the statue. Earlier day of his death, Cuncolim villagers with AAP leaders had also a grand function and commemoration and that none of these events have been publicized in the local newspapers. It is sad for this person who had fought for the Opinion poll for Goa or else we would have to run to get work done in Maharashtra for anything. Goans should be grateful to him and we are lucky to secure Goa because of him. If it was not for Opinion Poll especially poor people would have to slog to get any documents like birth , death, marriage etc as some Maharashtra agents could have crop up, and cheated Goans by squeezing money for getting work done in Maharashtra . We should thank GOD. Especially these Ministers and MLA's who are holding various Government positions in Goa should be grateful to him. AAP , Fr, Bismarque volunteers and other organizations paid tributes near the Statue of Dr Jack Sequeira on his Death Anniversary and that none of the local papers had the courtesy to give publicity for this event. It is shame for these papers (and local TV channels) who are only bothered allegedly for paid news and for useless things. Even today ( 19th Oct) nothing has been covered up in the newspapers of his Death anniversary .
