The Canadian Housing Advisory has calculated that each Canadian giving a dollar a week will solve the housing crisis. Currently there are 200,000 homeless any given year, 30,000 any given day, 5,000 being in Toronto alone. Of these numbers 30% are indigenous. Which goes to the shame of how native peoples fare so badly in this country.
British You Tube comedienne Laura Bubble has hit upon a plan to terrify her first dates. She goes in a wedding dress, prompting the Toronto Star to suggest that she also bring up how badly she wants a baby, and casually say "I knew I loved you before I met you". If you had used this stunt on me in my youth, no telling what would have ensued, but Ms Bubble uses the prank for a good cause - the Stand Up To Cancer Charity. Trump at one stage said "bad hombres" during last night's presidential debates when referring to some in the Mexican community. He was pilloried for this characterization on a CNN panel analysis. When frustrated he should have been trained to say "Mai z**v Dhobitalao" instead. Wonder what they would have made of that! Roland Francis Toronto
