He might not have seen other side of the coin as we knew from a distance that both these CM's were dictators who were much superior than Salazar. I can vouch one or two incidents which I have witnessed in my old days with the ex-Dean of GMC Dr Wengsarker who was ordered by first CM of Goa to appoint by hook and crook a person of his choice without following any selection administrative formalities . And second is Football at Bandodkar ground was in his blood and nothing could stop him going against his wishes. Many more might have taken place. May be! Next CM was his daughter who continued in a same style of functioning. Only difference with the present governance was that they were not aware of corruption on those days which is now rampant not only with politicians but even with everybody from peon to the top level. I have not seen democracy on those days at all. I do not understand why people started patting them now after 2nd CM's death? Must be because their mouth is shut? Now that elections are round the corner many more things will be surfacing with praises and what not for the MGP. governance. After Shashikla's death already a big board with her picture is been displayed near the Umesh Keni Petrol pump at main roadside Panaji and other similar board is seen near Kala Academy about to be erected. I hope BJP will be able to digest it.
