Hi All
Season of Goodwill 2016
Your valued advice please,
As the seasonal cold weather sweeps across Europe many of us regular travellers
to Goa for a Sunbath ,cultivating the harvest of the sea, on holiday visiting
family and friends not forgetting the cazar bazaar  season will be caught uo as
innocent victims as the Government of India implements steps to  eradiate
corruption. With the 500 and 1000 Indian  Rupees being abolished overnight....
.Please let us  know what to do.  Many of us will have some to cover taxi fare,
plus bit more to Tie over a few days.
Previous experience at Dabolim airport over the years will indicate lack of
Foreign exchange facilities or being short-changed where they do exist. Will
the minimum Taxi fare now be rounded to the nearest INr 2000.00. with prices
for other goods in between. Not good for local people.
Cannot  Goa State Government negotiate  with the Reserve bank of iIndia f a
facility to Exchange the Rs 500 AND Rs 1000  Note  after the deadline OF 31
December  at the Airport and Entry points even at Indian Banks Abroad within an
extended period for visitors before the Dollar and other currencies become
normal life for trading as in Goa as some  third world countries that have
their economy controlled by these foreign currency.
Spare a thought for the seasonal workers many of who do not have a bank account
and will be happy in this season of goodwill to accept RS500 &Inr100.00 bills
as wages and tips only to find that by the time they get back to their villages
across India after the season will find that  all their working reward in Goa
will have been  worthless.
In this season of Goodwill consider the Church collection and paying doorstep
vendors in the notes  soon to be abolished, give them something to smile about
before this money is no more and worthless.

Thank you in advance.
