Hi V M I do not know about "Goans" in Bangla Desh -- but I do know that the Portuguese influence was definitely very much there in Chittagong -- you have people with typical Portuguese sir names there e.g. Gomes, Remedios, etc -- We had these guys as very good cooks with us in Calcutta during 1945 to 1947 -- many of these guys are top chefs in five star hotels in Bombay, Delhi and other main cities and in many other cities I presume -- they specialize in sea food preparations -- I also remember very fondly the preparation our cook used to make from brain.
Please let me know if you are aware of any of these super chefs in the hotels in Goa -- I would love to eat their special dishes.
