*Demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes* Arwind Kejriwal has been going 'hammer and tongs' on Modi's sudden and crippling demonetization policy where, in order to control or wipe out black money in circulation, the government has not only inconvenienced the common man but this has bordered on acute harassment, with people lining up in long queues for days on end, even resulting in over 50 deaths.
The charge made by Arwind Kejriwal that Rs. 8000 lakh crores are intended to be raked in from the people, absolving NPA's of favoured loanees to the extent of 1.5 lakh crores which include Vijay Mallya's 1200 crores, instead of having him arrested and deported to face charges in India, and this whole exercise is shrewdly meant not to invalidate the black money or the fake currency notes, but to rake in Rs. 7000 lakh odd crores from the people to do with it as it pleases. Considering this, it is apparent that Arwind Kejriwal is damned right in what he is saying, with the background of digging that he has done on the Income Tax reports he is flaunting. The valid question that Kejriwal is asking is 'how did Janardhan Reddy of Karnataka, who was involved in the mining scam earlier, managed to celebrate the wedding of his daughter to the tune of Rs. 500 crores?' Kejriwal is questioning the source of this money. The conclusion that is inferred from all this is that if the Modi government was really interested in taking out black money and the fake currency from circulation, all it had to do was to keep new notes ready for circulation to replace the invalidated notes and then hit the stealth deadline of 12 p.m. on 8th November, 2016 as it was done, but with a difference. And the difference should have been such that every Rs. 500 and Rs 1000 notes returned to the banks should have been mutilated by shearing off one of the corners so that these note were not only seen to have been mutilated at source but were in deed mutilated so as not to go into private circulation, as marking them individually would consume a lot of time. It is not rocket science to understand that this entire demonitization policy is a mega scam cunningly planned to get the moneyed jokers like Ambanis, Adanis, Mallyas etc. to roll and enjoy themselves in the tears and angst of the common people at large. This in deed is the repayment that MODI has exacted at the cost of the common man for what these jokers have done to get him elected as the PM of India. The Supreme Court should, in its righteousness, consider slapping Presidents Rule in India to do the least as India has become a center of a joke around the world.
