MODI, STOP MISLEADING STEPHEN DIAS The obduracy of the ruling BJP-led NDA government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to disclose sources of party funding is a devious precedent. Why is it that they have not been transparent on the issue? Who are the covert donors, how much do they contribute and why should the recipients not be accused of receiving black money, money unaccounted for and thus black money without doubt? How can thus the government crackdown on black money when they are themselves steeped in covertly dealing in unaccounted black money? How can the government have the moral right of imposing upon the people a decree wherein they themselves do not follow what they seek to thrust upon the mainly common men to follow? While all appears to be calm on the surface, the mood of the common men is seething with anger and frustration at not having been able to have the freedom to withdraw and utilize their hard-earned money in the way that they think fit because of unacceptable, unreasonable curbs to drawing out money. Aam Aadmi Party convenor, and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has thrown an open challenge to Narendra Modi to disclose all BJP party sources of income in a transparent and democratic manner, but he has not accepted. What does the BJP have to hide? If such is the case with the ruling party, then what do you expect from the other parties and is this just a charade perpetrated by the BJP who have become leaders who do not follow their own tenets but on the contrary expect the common men to tow their line. This is absolutely unacceptable and a murder of democracy. Parties and the people will thus follow the BJP and indulge in whatsoever way they think fit to act according to their whims and wishes. This is perfectly fair and square.
