Looking at JoeGoaUK's videos of the Rally, the following thoughts pass through the mind.
Bernado Colaço was right after all and all the so called freedom fighters were wrong. From once men of stature, the men who now rule Goa are men of straw. What were people thinking? That when India took over Goa forcibly, it would be anything but a brutish lout raping an innocent child? When people like Claude Alvares and his kind pass on, they will not likely be replaced. When Parrikar, Parsekar and their ilk pass on, there will be no shortage of others worse than them to take over. Remember how we nostalgically remember Bandodcar now? In his own time the man was a rascal. In the same way, Parrikar in 10 years time will be missed since a crook ten times worse will be in power. Roland Francis Toronto.
