It is no more 'let's say' in-fact the base pillars (15' higher than the existing bridges) for the 'overpass' on river Mandovi towards Mapuca are already piled up. This overpass will free up or ease traffic on the road from earlier bridges towards Mapuca. According to Panaji MLA Siddharth Kuncalienkar and Goa state infrastructure development corporation (GSIDC) manager for engineering projects, Sandip Chodnekar, '83% of the piling work has been completed. Columns for the bridge on the Porvorim side are ready. Piling for the four columns in the river are also ready. As of now it is only on the Merces side that work remains.' Major work of linking these pillars will be worth watching.
