Wrt POTUS salary: http://www.snopes.com/trump-refuse-salary/ jc Let us talk about a subject I know nothing about ie GOLD Doc, I believe that the only people who open links are those who have not yet got messed up with a virus. Virus are costly to clean and a lot of info can be compromised e.g. bank account access - which usually produce interesting stress dilemmas. I do not open links for another reason too: The person sending the links usually has no opinion of his own or is unable to articulate his thoughts. Why would I desire to read the thoughts of a third party? However, sometimes, a good article is worth sharing and I usually copy and paste the article so that it is immediately available, stress free, to the reader. I find this method works the best (for me). Since we both agree that the POTUS gets paid a salary, I think that issue is resolved. As far as gold is concerned, I tried to explain - more than a decade ago - in as simple terms as I could deliver, all one needed to know about it. If one could not understand or make money on gold then, the same person will never be able to understand gold today. Finally, Trump has only started to stir up the US financial system. His first step has been to remove most of the provisions put into place after the last financial crises - barely eight years ago. Let me repeat, laws that were made to prevent a repeat of the time banks brought the capitalist system down to its knees, have now been removed. I actually find this is pleasurable. Give Trump a few more weeks and he will make George Bush look like a genius. Mervyn BTW, the Ernest Hemingway of 140 characters had the following to say, "I am not going to fade into Bolivian." To Mervyn and jc:- Is the jury still out there? ON: “Since we both agree that the POTUS gets paid a salary, I think that issue is resolved.” The below two reliable links say that Donald Trump has declined to accept salary as US President. See below: Trump held a Twitter Q&A <https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/646012458059067392?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw>, encouraging the American people to ask him questions using the hashtag #AskTrump. One user asked, “Will you forgo the presidential salary if elected?” Trump confirmed for a second time that he would refuse to take a salary. “As far as the salary is concerned — I won’t take even $1,” said Trump. “I am totally giving up my salary if I become president.” http://www.cbsnews.com/news/did-donald-trump-say-hed-refuse-to-take-a-salary-as-president/ On November 14, 2016, on CBS' 60 Minutes, *Trump* was asked about taking a *presidential salary* while in the White House. ... When CBS news anchor Lesley Stahl reminded him that it was $400,000 per year, *he* replied, "No, I'm *not* gonna *take* the *salary*. He further said: ‘I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year. But it’s a -- I don’t even know what it is." When CBS news anchor Lesley Stahl reminded him that it was $400,000 per year, he replied, "No, I’m not gonna take the salary.
