The 8th Annual Pioneer Trophy, one-day Hockey 5’s tournament will be held at Don Bosco Ground, Panjim on Sunday, 19th February 2016 from 10am onwards. The tournament will be organized by the Pilar Fathers, Valpoi in collaboration with Hockey Heritage Group Goa. The tournament is ably supported by Goans Hockey, the governing body of Hockey in Goa. Hockey 5’s is a 5-a-side shorter version of Field Hockey and is played as per FIH (Federation of International Hockey) Rules and Regulations. The games are played at a much fast and furious pace and demanding on the player’s fitness. The matches are exciting to watch and are a real treat to the spectators. Spot entries are accepted and all participating teams should report at 9:30am sharp.
