All the licensed Liquor premises located within Goa, shall remain closed from 5 pm on May 31, 2007 to 5 pm of June 2, 2007 in view of general election to Goa Legislative Assembly 2007 and on June 5, 2007 for counting of votes no liquor shall be served in the restaurant premises. During the Dry Days no liquor bottles shall be exposed in any such licensed premises and provision stores, non-proprietary clubs, star hotels etc have been directed to close their liquor activities in totality and shall not permit to serve liquor on these days, in the state of Goa in which general election to Goa Legislative Assembly 2007 will be held. Enforcement machinery of Excise Department has been fully geared up for checking and implementing 'Dry Days'. All the excise inspectors of taluka shall be on duty round the lock along with excise guards and asstt excise guards. Cases of violations by the licensee, licenses may be cancelled /suspended by the department. The maximum quantity of Liquor which can be possessed by any person consumption including his family at his residence without a permit during the dry days has been curtailed and it shall be as follows.
