My dear Alfred, Like you I also have the best memories of Churcchill's mother. Eslinda, was a gem of a person. Always humble, she shied away from limelight. Despite personal tragedies she never lost faith in God. I was her doctor for a long time and she treated me like her own. Despite my political differences at times with the Alemaos she couldn't do without me. I was her Doutor Colaco. She was a rare and unique person who was the Matriarch and uniting force of the Alemao family. It is the greatest loss the Alemao family will have to cope with. I remember her with tears in my eyes. A good wife that she was, after Braz's (her husband's premature death), she donned the role of father and model mother and later of a most loving grandmother too. Above all, ahe was a virtuous and model lady, May God give her eternal rest to her beautiful departed soul.
